Following the incredible success of our previous events in Nashville, New York City, Chicago, Charleston, Brattleboro, and D.C., we are excited to introduce our uniquely fun and informative platform to a broader audience seeking connection, healing and most importantly educating the public about the true human costs of adoption from the adoptee perspective. We happily welcome anyone outside the adoption community to come to this with an open heart and an open mind. We would love to see you there!
What to Expect: Fog Lift Events are designed for anyone grappling with feelings of non-being or unresolved primary/primal wounds. Our mission is to guide individuals from confusion to confidence within a safe and empathetic environment. This event will feature a diverse lineup of activities, including:
13:45: Doors open at Howick House, Penwortham, Preston - Welcome drink served
14:30: Welcome and introduction. Screening of "Reckoning with The Primal Wound" - with creative materials as an option during the film
16:00: Q&A session with filmmaker including digital pop-in with UK based filmmaker and adoptee, Zara Phillips
17:00 Visit to Lollipops for a private sweet shop and ice cream experience with the crew
18.15-18:45: Special guest segment:
1. Speaker Lou Mycroft
2. Interactive poetry creation (led by Fleur)
19:00 - 19:30: Group activity:
Collaborative (giant) mandala creation
20:00 - 20:45: Networking and refreshments (buffet food)
21:00: Event conclusion

Course Description: This semester-long course will use the film "Reckoning with The Primal Wound" as a central text to explore the complexities of adoption, identity, and the psychological impact on adoptees.
